Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War has been a massive hit among fans of the franchise. Many players have left Modern Warfare behind to dive into this new installment and are thoroughly enjoying the fresh content it offers. However, even more excitement is building for December 16, when Treyarch and Raven Software’s latest first-person shooter will be integrated into Call of Duty: Warzone. The free-to-play battle royale experience from Modern Warfare is set to receive additional content, including new maps. Thanks to the recently released announcement trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War Season One, we now have a glimpse of what’s to come.

Although the trailer is cinematic and doesn’t reveal any gameplay, it teases “Rebirth Island,” a new map joining Warzone. This map appears to take heavy inspiration from Blackout’s Alcatraz, promising fast-paced, close-quarters combat and plenty of action-packed fun. Another key highlight from the trailer is the introduction of a new operator: Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzmin. Stitch is a rogue scientist and former leader of the Nova 6 project, a program focused on developing a deadly chemical weapon. Though the project was officially shut down two decades ago, Stitch has secretly continued his work, using the facilities on Rebirth Island to produce Nova 6 in secret.
